Memoirs, Life Books by Web Biographies
A Program for Funeral Homes and Cremation Societies
Welcome to Memoirs, the online life book service!
A Memoirs life book combines the best elements of a funeral notice and an obituary, and then adds a whole lot more. It is warmly enriched with biographical data, a photo of the deceased, a photo from your funeral home, and an announcement of the date of death and the date and details of the memorial service. Also, you can add text to enhance the life book with stories and testimonials as much, or as little as you want. The person's online memorial will then remain online in perpetuity. Benefits to your Funeral Home include...
- A unique, value-added service which positively engages families and helps the healing process
- Provides a nice revenue model for pre-need and at-need counselors. Click here for details.
- Extends advertising as your logo and URL are published online, generating more traffic and better search engine rankings
- Revenue from new sources (e.g. charging the family to create the life book for them, charging for photo and document scanning, etc)
- Is a cost free, time-free after-care program that endears families to the Funeral Director, and serves as a way to stay connected with the family, leading to referrals and customer retention
What's the difference between a Web Biographies free online life book and a local funeral notice or obituary listing in a newspaper or a proprietary in-house program?
A newspaper obituary listing can cost $400 and lasts a day.
An online obituary (often called an online memorial) costs between $50 and $595, is not linked to family members, is limited in the amount of data it can hold, is not indexed for search engines, and is quickly forgotten.
A Life Book with Web Biographies shares and preserves everything. From the most intimate stories and details from a person's childhood, work, family, travel, health, views on life, and even their height, eye color, or favorite flavor of ice cream -- to the facts about the funeral, such as a copy of the eulogies, perhaps including recordings or videos from family members who wish to share their memories with their loved one. Families can preserve and share photos, letters, awards, diplomas and other scrapbook items. Everything that made them, them preserved online forever. An obituary can't do that, as it is an ending. A Life Book ensures they will live on.

How does it work? Click here for a price list.
Simply email or fax us the funeral notice and/or obituary, using the same forms you use for newspaper listings, and we will post them to the person's life book on the web. Be sure to send us your logo or other image, as well as a photo of the deceased and we will add these to the announcement at no charge. We will then show you how to log on and add text to enhance the announcement far beyond what's possible with a paid newspaper listing.
Use your existing forms or click below for our form!
