Information Disclosure
This statement outlines the privacy practices of Web Biographies. We have clearly marked Web Biographies web sites with our logos and/or copyright notices so you know where this policy applies. It does not apply to any other companies' or organizations' web sites to which we link, and you should check their privacy policies when visiting their sites.

The only personally identifiable information collected by Web Biographies is information that you provide voluntarily as part of the registration process and/or through your use of the Service. Other than that, Web Biographies collects only mechanical information necessary to manage and enhance the user experience and to assist advertisers with general, non-user-specific information.

Web Biographies collects some information about general usage of the sites through a technology tool called a "cookie." The cookie is a piece of computer software that is used to maintain logged-on status, assist with connection requests to other biography's, auto-fill logged in data where appropriate, and to determine the number and frequency of visits to the Web Biographies sites, among other things. As with any cookie, if you do not want your cookie information sent then you need to disable your cookies setting in your browser. Please be aware that doing so may disable your ability to stay logged in to the Service and to use other aspects of our site.

Demographic Information
We use information you give us to enhance the user experience, to improve the quality of our sites, and to maximize vendor and advertiser revenue (but without sharing any personally identifiable demographic data about you). Web Biographies automatically logs information such as IP addresses, ISPs and browser types for many general purposes. We collect this information for reporting, advertising, and fraud prevention. We use the aggregate information we collect to improve the Service and your experience while visiting.

Communication
We do not give any personally identifiable information you provide to third parties except for limited technology service providers. We may also provide information to comply with a valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, or to otherwise comply with law enforcement. We do send periodic email communications to users who have registered for a biography, and to the addresses in the users biography Connections area, to inform people of updates to the biography, to notice a User of pending connections and/or comments, to send receipts of upgrades and other service orders, and for other purposes such as promoting vendors and advertisers during holidays and on important User dates such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries. When emails are sent to users who are connected to your biography (which includes those whom you have sent invitations to via the biography Invitation utility) then the Service will automatically list your name (as it is entered in your Bio Summary section) on the "From" line of the email and your email address (as it is entered in your Bio Summary) in the "Reply To" line of the email, thus making both your name and email address visible to all of your family, friends, and other approved connections. Note also that when you send invitations, the names and email addresses you enter are automatically entered as approved connections in your biography's Connections section (which is also used for Family & Friends Email).

Terms of Use Agreement
The Web Biographies Terms of Use Agreement is hereby incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference. To view the Terms of Use Agreement simply visit any page on webbiographies.com and click on the link at the bottom of the page entitled "Terms of Use".

Web Biographies sites contain links to other web sites. Please note that when you click on one of these links you are clicking to another web site. Web Biographies has no responsibility for anything on any site which you may link to.

A WORD OF CAUTION:
Please remember that what you write or publish on our site is visible to the public and that the information can be seen by others. Even password technology is not perfect and may fail or be hacked from time to time. We act only as a distributor and do not censure information or moderate the Service (though we may take action when notified of content which is illegal or in violation of the Terms of Use Agreement). When you make information available on Web Biographies you do so at your own risk.

If we decide to change this Privacy Policy we will post changes here in the form of an updated Privacy Policy. This ensures that by checking here frequently all users are informed about our information gathering practices, how we might use that information and whether it will be disclosed.
